WorldMadeChannel is officially supported by the United Nations Organization (UN). The social mission of WorldMadeChannel is to unite people from different countries and cultures in one international and universal TV project.

On May 5, 2005, Mr. Shashi Tharoor, Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information, and Mrs. Margarita Lomova, Managing Director of WorldMadeChannel B.V., signed the agreement on cooperation between the UN and WorldMadeChannel. WorldMadeChannel is dedicated to educating and strengthening public awareness about peace and security, environment and gender issues, cultural and religious tolerance, dialogue among civilizations and international cooperation, community development with a special focus on the young generation.

To watch WorldMadeUN, the 10 minute weekly program, the viewers may select one of the six official languages of the United Nations (Chinese, English, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and French). WorldMadeChannel broadcasts programs in the 6 official UN languages, aiming to educate and inform the general public about the United Nations, its policies and purposes, education programs, projects and initiatives.

The United Nations is central to global efforts to solve problems that challenge humanity. More than 30 affiliated organizations are cooperating in this effort, known together as the UN system. Day in and day out, the UN and its family of organizations work to promote respect for human rights, protect the environment, fight disease and reduce poverty. UN agencies define the standards for safe and efficient air travel and help improve telecommunications and enhance consumer protection. The United Nations leads the international campaigns against drug trafficking and terrorism. Throughout the world, the UN and its agencies assist refugees, set up programs to clear landmines, help expand food production and lead the fight against AIDS.

In 2005, the United Nations celebrated its Sixtieth Anniversary. For 60 years, the UN has implemented its programs dedicated to preserving peace, defending human rights, and promoting expanded cultural exchanges between nations. This work never stops and the UN continues to look for new ideas and projects. One of them is a strategic cooperation with, and support of WorldMadeChannel.
